The first two scrapbooks contain clippings focusing on the Three Mile Island disaster and are primarily derived from the two main Harrisburg, Pennsylvania newspapers, The Daily Patriot and The Evening News . There are also articles from periodicals across the country reporting the disaster, including the New York Times , the Boston Globe , the Washington Post , and the Miami Herald . The third scrapbook is a mix of newspaper clippings from 1976 to 1982 that primarily highlight the nuclear evacuation plans of New York State municipalities, as well as preparatory exercises and plans to host refugees from other localities struck by nuclear disaster.
